π· Rappahannock Black Label Seyval Blanc (2017)
π Virginia, USA – near the Blue Ridge Mountains
π Seyval Blanc
π I picked up this bottle while visiting Rappahannock Cellars a couple of summers ago. I met the winemaker at a local music festival and he invited me to check out the behind-the-scenes at the winery. I had a chance to sample this wine while there. It was the first time I ever tried this varietal and I have to say, I was really pleased with it! I don’t gravitate usually towards white wine, but gave it a try based on the staff’s recommendation. Watch my video for my review.
β Did you know:
Seyval Blanc is a French hybrid that grows really well in cooler climates, primarily England and the East Coast of the United States; though you can find it in Oregon and in Canada too. If you enjoy Chablis, Sauvignon Blanc or Chenin Blanc, this wine is for you!
